Past and current board members of Women in Insurance & Financial Services of Northeast Florida met Tuesday night, June 14, at Blue Bamboo.  The board members in attendance enjoyed a chance to socialize over Blue Bamboo’s “hip Asian comfort food,” while also taking a chance to talk about the direction of the organization and the upcoming national conference in Chicago this fall.

Women in Insurance and Financial Services Honors Accomplished Women to the Circle of Excellence

Jacksonville, FL (January 5, 2016)— Selected members of Women in Insurance & Financial Services (WIFS) were recognized for their high achievements on October 30 during the 2015 National Conference in Baltimore, Maryland.

The Circle of Excellence recognizes WIFS members who achieve significant income levels in the insurance and financial services industry. This prestigious recognition is based on annual production for the previous year, and is awarded at the annual WIFS Circle of Excellence Awards Luncheon. A record breaking 158 members qualified for this distinction with reported combined income of $47.5 million.

The Northeast Florida Chapter has three members that made the list: Cindy Bohn, Angela Brown and Jeanne Peterson. Cindy Bohn achieved the Diamond Level Circle of Excellence level with Angela Brown and Jeanne Peterson achieving the Topaz Level Circle of Excellence level.

Cindy Bohn has been a part of the Swindell, Bohn, Durden and Phillips team for more than 20 years. Clients benefit from her experience, which spans more than three decades, and her focus on serving small businesses and the epeple who own them. Cindy is responsible for providing tax compliance and planning, accounting systems design and Quickbooks setup and training. She is graduate of the University of North Florida, where she earned her Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a major in accounting. She also holds the professional designations of Certified Public Accountant and Chartered Global Management Accountant.

Angela Brown is Managing Director with North Florida Financial Corporation and The Guardian. She focuses on attracting talented individuals to the Financial Services career as well as serving clients through a comprehensive approach to financial balance.  With over 12 years of experience in the financial services arena, Angela specializes in the areas of Business and Executive Solutions, estate and retirement planning, and wealth management.  Angela received her Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice Degree from the American University in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. Angela maintains her FINRA Series 6, 7, and 66 securities registrations as well as Florida Life, Health & Variable Annuity insurance licenses.

Jeanne Peterson is a Financial Advisor with MetLife Premier Client Group. Her goal is to provide families and business owners with assistance in building their financial freedom. Jeanne has over twelve years in the financial industry and is a registered representative of MetLife Securities. She holds the designations CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Professional (CFP), Life Underwriter’s Training Council Fellow (LUTCF) and Certified in Long Term Care (CLTC). She also maintains her FINRA Series 6, 7, 24, 63 and 66 registrations. Jeanne received her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Drexel University and her Master of Science degree in Management from Polytechnic Institute of New York.
