WIFS of NE FL Announces new Board Appointments

Jacksonville, FL – November 19, 2013….. Three years ago, Cheryl Canzanella started a local chapter of WIFS – (Women in Insurance and Financial Services).  Since then, WIFS of North East FL (“NEFL”) has grown to 36 members.  Effective this November, Cheryl will assume the Chairperson of the Board role and welcomed a new President, Tara Showalter, to the helm.

“It’s been an exciting couple of years and I am delighted that we have been able to attract a wonderful group of professional women to WIFS of NEFL” said Canzanella. “I am also delighted that Tara, who has been an active Board member during this period, has accepted the position of Board President and will be leading the chapter to new heights.”

“While this year is winding down, WIFS of NEFL has been winding up an exciting plan for the new year. As part of our 2014 agenda, WIFS of NEFL will be hosting a number of special events during which we will bring attendees the knowledge, inspiration, support, connections, and innovative ideas needed to succeed,” said Showalter.  ““We are confident that anyone interested in becoming a member of our local chapter will find their time meaningfully and productively well spent!”

In addition, to (1) Cheryl Canzanella, LUTCF and Chairperson of the Board and (2) Tara Showalter, CFP®, CRPC, JD and President of WIFS of NEFL, the following individuals were elected to serve on the Chapter’s Board:

 In 2014, WIFS of NEFL will continue its mission to develop and advance women in the industry.  “We are establishing a local mentoring program,” said Christina Loddo Epstein, the newest member of the Board. “The Board alone has over 185 years of business experience and success and WIFS’ mission to attract, retain and grow best in class financial services’ related professionals is near and dear to all of us,” said Epstein.
