WIFS of Northeast Florida hosts a “Lunch & Learn”
Incorporating Housing Wealth in Retirement Distribution Income Streams
Jacksonville, FL – April 28, 2014…..Women in Insurance & Financial Services of Northeast Florida (WIFS NEFL) is pleased to host its second Lunch & Learn of 2014 titled: “Incorporating Housing Wealth in Retirement Distribution Income Streams”. The lunch will be held on May 13, 2014 at the Sheraton Southside’s Bold City Grill.
WIFS Board member, Lynda Graves, and a Home Equity Retirement Specialist at Security 1 Lending said, “WIFS is delighted that my colleague, Shelley Giordano, a Certified CE Instructor for the American CE Institute, and the chair of the Funding Longevity task force at Security 1 Lending will be speaking about the new Home Equity Conversion Mortgage (HECM), its similarity to traditional mortgages and how Reverse Mortgages can help reduce the risk and concerns that seniors have about running out of money in retirement.”
“We are also delighted that since our successful joint social earlier this year, the Board of the Accounting & Financial Women’s Alliance (AFWA) has reached out to us and asked that we extend WIFS membership prices to their members for our upcoming Lunch & Learn,” said Tara Showalter, President of WIFS of NEFL. “We were pleased to do so as they are kindred spirits when it comes to attracting, retaining and growing ‘best in class’ women within the financial services sector,” said Showalter. Echoing that perspective was Cassie Smith, President and Karyn Harte Board member of the AFWA, “We are very excited that we will be able to continue to build strong relationships with the members of the Northeast FL of WIFS as well as take advantage of the CE credits that are available to CFPs and CPAs through WIFS’ Lunch and Learn on May 13th,” said Smith.
Members of WIFS, the AFWA and guests who are interested in attending may do so by booking a seat on-line at: https://wifs051314.eventbrite.com. “Attendees are reminded that while networking lunch begins at 11:30AM; the class will begin promptly at noon.” said Graves.
