The Board announced that Lisa Pilgrim, who will stay on the Northeast Florida Board, is stepping down as its Treasurer, and instead, is stepping into the role of Deputy Treasurer of the National Board. Michele Haskell who held a previous Board position concluded her term effective October 31, 2014.
“We have worked hard to diversify the background and experience of our Board Members,” said Tara Showalter who is serving her second term as President. “Indeed I want to welcome our newest members, including Grace Staten who has assumed the position of Treasurer. Further, in addition to thanking Lisa Pilgrim for her past service as our Treasurer and congratulating her on her new role, I want to thank previous Board Member, Michele Haskell. Michele has served us since the Chapter’s inception and was instrumental to working on key sponsorship efforts including that of our spectacular summer social,” said Showalter.
“On average, our Board Members have more than 15 years of experience in insurance, banking, accounting, estate planning and the legal practice and WIFS’ mission — to attract, retain and develop best in class financial services professionals — is near and dear to all of us,” said Christina Loddo Epstein, President Elect. “WIFS exists because women in our challenging industry reached out to one another, shared their experiences and inspired an organization that serves its members as a resource, center of learning and leadership strength,” said Epstein.
