Tour starts at 130PM (Please arrive by 115PM for check in.  You’ll need your government issued photo ID for entry.  Please see attached map for directions/parking / details)
**Tour is approximately 75 minutes**

We will plan to grab a late lunch / early happy hour after the tour.

The Northeast Florida Chapter of Women in Insurance & Financial Services invites you and your family to our 5th Annual Member Appreciation Holiday Event & Toy Drive. WIFS NEFL is once again teaming up with the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation. An official activity of the U.S. Marine Corps and an official mission of the Marine Corps Reserve, Marine Toys for Tots Foundation strives to help less fortunate children experience the joy of the holidays.

October 2018 Luncheon Highlights

WIFS October Lunch Meeting

WIFS Northeast Florida had a record turn-out at Seasons 52 on October 9 to hear Cheryl Canzanella Goodell, LUTCF Brokerage Director with MassMutual and founding president of WIFS NEFL, share her journey of living with and loving an addict, her husband, whom she lost to an accidental overdose.

Cheryl brought her story to attendees and educated all on the financial toll this epidemic is bringing to our clients, the economic burden of it, and the impact to our business. We also learned how the opioid crisis is becoming part of the financial planning discussion and why Cheryl thinks things are about to get worse before they gets better and how we can prepare for things to come.

WIFS was also honored to have WIFS National President Elect, Michelle Harm, MBA, RICP® (Prudential) join us for our lunch meeting in October. Thank you to all who joined us for this impactful and insightful presentation. Thank you, especially, to Cheryl Canzanella Goodell.

Bridging the Gaps in Estate Planning: Who, What, and Why?

In the insurance and financial services industries, we often recommend to our clients that they should have a will. It is probably something we commonly ask when we first start working with a client. But do you know what goes into a full estate plan? Are you aware of how the law in Florida has changed in the past several years regarding ancillary issues? Do you know what happens if a client does not have a plan? When a client asks you questions about estate planning, do you know how to answer without crossing the line of violating the laws against unlicensed practice of law? And what is critical for YOU to do with your clients so they have an estate plan that best meets their goals?

Jacksonville attorney Jana R. McCreary will speak at our November luncheon to address these issues and more. As an estate planning attorney, Jana has a particular passion in making sure clients’ individual goals are met, no matter their life situation. Jana also values the team approach for clients, wanting to make sure to work along side their accountant, insurance agent, and financial professional to make sure everyone is on the same path with the same destination in mind.
