May Lunch Meeting

Business Law Basics for Insurance & Financial Professionals

Did you know that the law is interwoven into everything a business does?  The law regulates behavior, and business is created by behavior. So how does a business owner know when the law comes into play?

Join guest speaker Laurie Lee as she explains her Legal Infrastructure Map for Service-Based Businesses. This map shows all of the areas where business owners need to be aware of legal rules. It can also be used as a self-audit to see where there are areas that need attention.

Going hand-in-hand with her Legal Infrastructure Map, Laurie will explain the two risk continuums that she has developed to help business owners make better decisions. Risk can sometimes be a bad word, but it’s an essential element of business. Without risk, there is no growth. Laurie will explain her system of analyzing risk and making the determination of when a risk is worthwhile.

Understanding these areas is essential if you are a business owner. More over, if your business involves advising clients who own businesses, surely you can better serve them by adding this knowledge to your tool box.
