WIFS National Conference In Review~Tara Showalter

I am charged up — I just returned from our annual conference which I think you all are aware was held in Orlando — and, I wanted to share what a great time we had!

First, I was delighted there were 11 of us from the Chapter who were able to make it. Northeast FL Chapter Attendees included:

Second, one of the best parts of the WIFS National Conference is the group of women who come from all over the U.S. who are eager to discuss the challenges, successes, resources and the support they’ve found in the course of their careers. Patrick joined Ullmann Financial Group in 2014 as a financial advisor and legal consultant because of his more than eight years of experience in concentrating his own law practice in matrimonial and family law, having previously worked as a Shareholder for the statewide law firms Gray Robinson, P.A. and Rogers Towers, P.A. in Jacksonville. In 2013, for the third consecutive year, he was recognized as Florida Trend’s Legal Elite; Super Lawyers Magazine’s “Rising Star” for the 5th consecutive year; and, named one of the Jacksonville Business Journal’s 40 Under 40. He received his Juris Doctor in 2005 from the University of Notre Dame and a Bachelor of Business Administration summa cum laude from Adrian College in Michigan.  Pat serves as the President of the Young Lawyers Section of the Jacksonville Bar Association beginning in June 2014 and President of the Notre Dame Club of Greater Jacksonville.  He is a graduate of Leadership Jacksonville (Class of 2012) and Jacksonville Regional Political Leadership Institute (Class IV).  Pat holds the FINRA Series 7 and 66 securities registrations.

Incorporating Housing Wealth in Retirement Distribution Income Streams

Jacksonville, FL – April 28, 2014…..Women in Insurance & Financial Services of Northeast Florida (WIFS NEFL) is pleased to host its second Lunch & Learn of 2014 titled: “Incorporating Housing Wealth in Retirement Distribution Income Streams”.  The lunch will be held on May 13, 2014 at the Sheraton Southside’s Bold City Grill.

WIFS Board member, Lynda Graves, and a Home Equity Retirement Specialist at Security 1 Lending said, “WIFS is delighted that my colleague, Shelley Giordano, a Certified CE Instructor for the American CE Institute, and the chair of the Funding Longevity task force at Security 1 Lending will be speaking  about the new Home Equity Conversion Mortgage (HECM), its similarity to traditional mortgages and how Reverse Mortgages can help reduce the risk and concerns  that seniors have about running out of money in retirement.”
